Cancer touches us all — through a loved one, a friend, a colleague, or a member of our community. It remains one of the leading causes of death in the United States, impacting millions of lives each year. But together, we can make a powerful difference in the fight against this disease. 

It is with great pride that we invite you to join us for the 4th Annual Pink in the Rink (PITR) event, taking place February 6–7, 2026 at the Orchard Lake St. Mary’s hockey rink. This two-day event brings together our players, families, and community to raise awareness and vital funds to support cancer research and patient care. 

Over the past three years, Pink in the Rink has raised more than $225,000, thanks to the generosity of sponsors, donors, and attendees like you. This year, we are once again partnering with the Karmanos Cancer Institute to support breast cancer research, and Blood Cancer United (formerly Leukemia and Lymphoma Society) to advance childhood cancer research. Our 2026 goal is ambitious — to raise over $125,000 — and we would be honored to have your support in reaching it.

The 2026 Pink in the Rink event kicks off Friday, February 6th with an evening of fun to watch youth hockey. Come watch the future stars, now just 8 years and younger as they take the ice at 6 PM.

The action and fund continues on Saturday, February 7th with a full day of hockey action:

• Morning: Youth games take the ice

• Afternoon: St. Mary’s Girls Varsity team hits the rink

• Evening: The St. Mary’s Boys teams face off in three fast-paced, hard-hitting matchups

Join us at 7:00 PM for the Ceremonial Puck Drop before the Boys Varsity rivalry game between Orchard Lake St. Mary’s and Brother Rice.

We expect more than 1,500 fans to fill the stands — come be part of this unforgettable community event!
